Job Description
Looking for a Fire Alarm technician for small project installations within retail and commercial environments. This technician will be servicing and installing equipment for various customers so strong knowledge of Fire Alarm systems is needed.
This technician will be working on various security systems for retail customers so CCTV systems, access control and door hardware installation, and strong burglar alarm knowledge is needed.
Along with Alarm systems, this technician will be running cable for various customers, mostly Cat 5 or Cat 6, which requires knowledge of structured cabling methods and BICSI standards.
Technician will be working independently traveling locally up to 3 hours out from home base, installing equipment within retails customers, technicians MUST be able to adapt to different layouts and environments since all sites will be different.
Techs will be doing the cabling and system installations and troubleshooting as needed.
Most installation work will be performed during normal business hours Monday through Friday. Some night and weekend work may be required but is limited.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must work well with others. Technicians must be able to follow directions, work independently with no supervision still be able to complete task in a timely manner.
with travel up to 3 hours from home base. This position would be ideal for someone who is looking to work independently, gain experience with different retail environments, and diversify their installation experience.
We will pay all drive time at hourly rate so anything over is time and a half. We'll will also cover lodging and pay food per diem.

The environment is fast paced, demanding, with high ceilings that will require climbing ladders and using a scissor lift for heights 20 to 30 feet.
