The opportunity
Group Fitness Instructors will lead a variety of fitness activities for a large group of participants while maintaining a safe environment and educate participants on proper movement / form.
Instructors will need to change their workouts and choreography to offer different workout styles. You will report to the Campus Recreation Administration.
This is an On-site position based on our Campus in Manchester NH. This role is Part-Time.
In this Role You'll Get To :
- You will each scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time; provide warm-up, exercises, stretching, and cool down.
- Instruct patrons on workout methods; explain proper techniques, demonstrate exercises; identify different muscle groups, and teaches appropriate methods to strengthen specific muscles.
- Prepare appropriate equipment, music, and handouts for each class.
- Assist patrons, answers questions, and maintain a positive exercise experience for members and class participants.
- Keep us informed of customer and facility needs.
- Maintain a safe and fun workout environment for SNHU students, faculty, and staff.
- You will update choreography for a variety of techniques and form
- Act only within your proper certifications. Does not offer medical advice or prescription.
What we're Looking For :
- 1+ years of experience teaching and conducting exercise classes in a group setting
- Valid Instructor Certification and CPR / First Aid (Willing to train in CPR if certification is needed)
- Group Exercise Certification (I.E. Zumba, Yoga)
