Leading multi-disciplinary team islooking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Energy) for their Detroit team!
Responsibilities :
- Lead energy audits of buildings and identify possibleenergy efficiency, water efficiency, and renewables opportunities
- Identify / provide documentation for energy efficiency strategies
- Determine energy baseline, develop measurement and verification(M&V) methodologies
- Calculate utility, operational / ancillary savings, andgenerate financial analysis reports
- Assist with building energy modeling duties (datacollection, organization, setup)
- Identify ways to quantify energy consumption and savings opportunitiesthrough analyzing building utility bills
- Build / maintain client relationships
- Provide technical sales support / coordination
- Coordinate, develop, and present concepts and preliminary technicalfindings
- Collect site and other data to assist other team members
- Mentor / train junior staff
- Some travel may be required
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, architecturalengineering or other related discipline or an equivalent of education andexperience
- 5+ years of experience in the energy efficiency industryincluding energy engineering / energy modeling
- PE License preferred
- Knowledgeof HVAC industry, lighting, and Building Automation System (BAS) controls
- Knowledge of design / energy simulation software (Revit,Energy Gauge, IES VE, HAP, TRACE)
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor(CEA) with the Association of Energy Engineers preferred
- LEED AP with specialty is preferred
