Permian Basin Overview
ConocoPhillips and its heritage companies have operated in the Permian Basin for almost 100 years. Across New Mexico and Texas, the company holds conventional positions in the Northwest Shelf and Central Basin Platform, and an unconventional position in the Delaware Basin.
Permian saw significant growth in 2021 with the acquisition of Concho Resources Inc. in January 2021 and the addition of Shell's Permian acreage in December 2021.
At year-end, the company held approximately 1.5 million net acres in the Permian Basin.
Net production for the Permian in 2022 was 461 MBOED.

Description
If you are selected as the Administrative Assistant, you will provide support to the Permian Wells Manager. This position works closely with the Permian Wells Manager to perform the highest level of administrative duties, working independently and proactively on numerous complex administrative tasks, exercising utmost discretion and independent judgment on a consistent basis.
Responsibilities may include :
- Coordinating all office and administrative support duties including answering the telephone, directing calls to others as appropriate, making arrangements for visitors, expense reports, CATS timekeeping, invoice processing and coding, record management and other corporate administrative needs
- Managing the Permian Wells Manager's calendar so their time is used effectively and efficiently - including planning work projects and scheduling appointments with senior management inside and outside ConocoPhillips;
Board of Directors, Executive Leadership Team, L48 Leadership Team, and other internal and external meetings
- Understanding the Permian Wells Manager's plans and objectives, reading and interpreting activities and proactively anticipating opportunities that assist in meeting the plans / objectives
- Ensuring the Permian Wells Manager is prepared for all meetings and has the appropriate materials to be reviewed in advance of meetings
- Preparing, coordinating and handling travel plans for the Permian Wells Manager, both domestically and internationally including : Understanding the purpose of the Permian Wells Manager's trips so that arrangements can be made to optimize their time in meetings with managers, employees and outside companies;
- Understanding corporate travel policy; passport and visa requirements, travel advisories and required immunizations for international travel;
Responsible for maintaining regular contact with the Permian Wells Manager during travel periods to communicate and initiate appropriate travel changes and advise of other issues requiring attention
- Drafting correspondence for the Permian Wells Manager including retention of information on key contacts, business dealings, upcoming activities and projects
- Preparing special reports as requested; gathering, analyzing and summarizing data
- Maintaining SharePoint / website information and various Outlook distribution lists
- Coordinating with other Administrative Assistants for planning and implementing department events
- Acting as "eyes and ears"; providing input and feedback to the Permian Wells Manager on all matters
Basic / Required :
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- 5+ years of experience in administrative support positions reporting to senior management
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications : Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word
- Advanced proficiency with SAP
