About the Role : SVB Asset Management provides investment management services to institutional clients including those involved in the innovation economy.

The credit research team is looking for an investment grade corporate credit analyst to join the San Francisco based group.

Ideal candidate will assume responsibility for providing industry analysis and company coverage. SVB Asset Management is a subsidiary of Silicon Valley Bank, a division of First Citizens Bank.

Responsibilities Perform fundamental corporate credit research and analysis of investment grade financial and industrial issuers.

Facilitate industry and company-specific coverage, including ongoing monitoring of existing holdings. Participate in due diligence of investment opportunities including company research, analysis of key factors including financial performance, competitive position, and ESG, and development of financial models and relative valuation analysis.

Communicate views orally and in writing to the investment team in a timely fashion. Prepare sector overviews, written company reports and quarterly earnings reviews Maintain productive relationships with senior management, sell-side analysts, buy-side investors and credit rating agencies to help inform decisions Provide insights and support to drive ad-hoc projects The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally from $202,800.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with 2 - 4+ year(s) of experience in an analyst role in investment management, credit / equity research, rating agency, investment banking or large bank OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 - 8+ year(s) of experience in an analyst role in investment management, credit / equity research, rating agency, investment banking or large bank.

Someone who is passionate about markets, research and investing. Possess a growth mindset and be a team player who can adapt to change.

Effective communicator who can organize, interpret, and summarize information concisely. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work collaboratively with other analysts, portfolio managers, and traders.

Strong quantitative analysis and financial modeling skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ.

Knowledge of Python, SQL and other programming languague is preferred. Pursuit of a CFA is encouraged. Perform fundamental corporate credit research and analysis of investment grade financial and industrial issuers.
