Job Responsibilities :
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, research & development, and engineering teams to understand project requirements and ensure timely material procurement.
- Analyze product demand and strategically purchase materials, optimizing inventory levels and minimizing turnover.
- Conduct thorough market research, solicit quotes from multiple vendors, and negotiate favorable pricing and lead times.
- Issue purchase orders, monitor order fulfillment, and expedite deliveries as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
- Establish and maintain relationships with new suppliers, vendors, and part numbers in the MRP system, securing favorable payment terms.
- Assist accounting department with receiving, invoicing, and other related tasks.
- Support engineering and manufacturing teams in product development initiatives.
- Obtain necessary certifications and training for handling and transporting specialized materials, such as Lithium Metal Batteries.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Must have experience with Misys Software.
- Strong attention to detail and a desire for continuous learning.
- Basic knowledge of BOMs (Bills of Materials) and proficiency in math.
- Negotiation skills to secure advantageous deals with suppliers.
- Proficiency in Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
Salary : $55,000-$70,000 / year
