Scrum Master (3522)

SMX is seeking creative problem solvers who can operate in a fast-paced IT environment. We are looking for someone who has hands-on experience with managing a matrixed IT team.

This is a hybrid position with on-site work performed at the client's office located in Washington, D.C. minimum three days per week.

Top Secret clearance required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Acts as scrum master to facilitate the scaled agile framework utilizing Kanban methodology
• Understand, distil, and communicate government and Program Manager strategy to define and track individual project objectives
• Organize, assign, and track IT technical development tickets within Jira
• Coordinate and facilitate cross functional teams to accomplish team goals
• Communicate project status through reporting and meetings internally, externally, and to government management
• Facilitate and lead scrums, PI planning, sprint planning, and ad hocs
• Work in a fast-paced Agile environment with fluid requirements and changing priorities
• Remove blockers to progress and manage dependencies to ensure team success

Required Skills :

• Agile project management expert
• Technical familiarity with SQL IT development and AWS cloud systems
• Familiarity with government Authority to Operate (ATO) Information Assurance (IA) processes
• Understanding of data management best practices
• Strong soft skills to influence external entities
• Moderate Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint acumen
• Moderate Jira development software experience
• Preferred Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) Certification and Project Management Professional (PMP)
• DoD Top Secret Clearance

Required Experience :

• Bachelor's Degree in business management or similar field
• 5+ years of experience with project management
