Zurich North America is currently hiring a Project Leader I - IT Finance Operations to work for its team out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL managing department and program finances, leading program financial analysis and communicating with stakeholders on progress through reports, presentations, etc.
Job Responsibilities :
- Manages finance operations for the department, analyzing program and project financials, driving decisions on spend optimization.
- Collaborates on new technology solutions to develop business cases for change and supports service owners with detailed financial models.
- Utilizes a detailed understanding of insurance, processes, and business systems to drive the research and analysis of the defined problem, design the recommended solution, and implement the solution, addressing associated change management.
- Specific consulting responsibilities include facilitating operational transformation via strategic / industry perspectives acting as a thought partner with key business leaders, defining and structuring opportunities / projects to deliver the transformation strategy, leading these process reengineering and continuous improvement projects.
- Understanding changes in the technology environment and managing financial reporting.
- Works with global colleagues to understand service agreements and allocations and demonstrates ability to influence decisions.
Required :
- Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Communications or Project Management area
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Communications or Project Management area
- Experience in strategic and operational consulting or business systems integration
Preferred :
- In-depth, strong problem solving analytical skills
- Detail driven approach to financial management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Insurance Industry experience
- Finance Operations knowledge
- PowerBI, Excel, Coupa and SAP experience
