Responsibilities

AscensionSeton is looking for a APRN or PA for our Maternal Fetal Medicine department!

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide clinical assessment, examination, and treatment for women in need of Maternal Fetal Medicine services in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities :

  • Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination
  • Provide quality care and conduct diagnostic testing in accordance with evidence-based clinical

guidelines

  • Interpret antenatal testing (e.g. non-stress tests)
  • Participate in ongoing quality assurance audits and provide real-time feedback to improve

patient care

Work collaboratively with a team of physicians, associate providers and other stakeholders to

provide comprehensive clinical care

Ensure continuous flow of communication with leadership of clinic to enhance quality of

healthcare services to patients

Provide patient navigation to provide seamless care coordination between inpatient and

outpatient settings

  • Participate in the education of medical students, OB / GYN residents, and fellows
  • Support and participate in research initiatives within the division

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration :

  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
  • Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.

Education :

Master's degree of Nursing required.

Additional Preferences

  • Doctoral degree in nursing science or equivalent degree
  • five years of experience providing obstetrical care
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
