Executive Recruiting Network is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist at a healthcare facility located in Dover, NJ

Pay Rate : $47.00-$70.50 per hour.

Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist

  • Evaluate Residents and develop a treatment plan that will meet their needs.
  • Choose activities that will help the Residents to carry out their daily works independently.
  • Watch the Residents as they carry out the task given to them.
  • Observe / Assess the progress of the Residents & prepare detailed progress reports.
  • Help in rehabilitating Residents disabled because of injury, illness, or other problems.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment.
  • Maintains Resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing.
  • Maintain documentation of Resident care services by auditing Resident & Dept. records.
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams & contributes to team effort.
  • Provide quality SLP services, including evaluating patients, screening, initiating referrals, obtaining data and follow through with plan of care.
  • Completes timely documentation including progress notes, screen reports, daily notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Knowledgeable in short term and long term SLP care.
  • Instruct patients as well as family members and staff in goals, progress, and appropriate therapeutic techniques.
  • Ensures compliance with protocols and regulations.

Requirements :

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy Program.
  • NJ SLP License & certificate of clinical competency
  • Preferred knowledge of Rehab Optima
  • Experience is a must.
  • Experience with cognitive and dysphagia rehabilitation within a skilled nursing facility.
