Superintendent
Job Overview
Absher Superintendents are responsible for field operations on the project assigned in order to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project.
What You’ll Do
- Directly supervise, train, and mentors field labor force, including laborers / craft workers.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.
- Ensure that work progresses according to schedule and that material and equipment are delivered to the work site on time, with excellent quality, and safely.
- Assist in bidding opportunities and preconstruction services by performing constructability reviews and providing input on costs, scheduling and pre-planning.
- Responsible for communication to Project Mangers, internal and external clients and labor force.
- Manage CPM schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of schedule.
- Prepare and submit reports, attend project meetings and coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
- Monitor project costs, including labor time and material.
Why You’ll Be Successful
- 5-10 years of industry experience with established, respected position within the construction community, knowledgeable of all craft functions.
- Possess complete field construction management skills and detailed understanding of union contracts.
- Ground-up commercial project leadership experience such as building K-12 facilities, higher education, hospitals, senior living facilities, YMCAs, mixed-use buildings, transportation stations, or similar
- Junior College or Vocational education desired
- Procore and P6 experience preferred
- OSHA 10 certification
- First Aid / CPR certification

All benefits are dependent on start date; pro-rated for mid-year hires
The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000 with the average starting salary in the 40th percentile range;
commensurate with experience and training. This ensures we get you properly seated within our organization so that all parties feel good about our future together.
