The Grid Technologies Products (GT PR) business unit located in Richland, MS is seeking a motivated Warehouse Supervisor.
As a member of the Operations team the Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a warehouse, ensuring that the staff follows safety and quality standards, and implementing Lean principles to optimize efficiency and productivity.
The Warehouse Supervisor also provides leadership and guidance to the warehouse team, resolves any issues or problems, coordinates with other departments and external partners, and run improvement projects to address current and future challenges.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Supervise and manage the warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and disciplining.
- Implement and improve the warehouse processes and procedures, using Lean tools and techniques to eliminate waste and increase efficiency.
- Prepare and analyze various reports and data related to the warehouse performance, costs, and improvement opportunities.
- Handle and resolve any issues or problems that arise in the warehouse, such as equipment breakdowns, staff conflicts, or customer complaints.
- Overseeing physical material transfer to and from warehouse including MES and SAP transactions.
- Responsible in preparation and driving of warehouse cycle count program and annual physical inventory.
- Drive and implement improvement projects related productivity, inventory accuracy, and warehouse capacity utilization.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree, (BS / BA) or associate degree with equivalent work-related experience.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- 2-5 years’ experience in logistics or manufacturing environment required.
- Strong SAP ERP knowledge related to logistics required.
- Inventory management, materials, or manufacturing background required.
- Lean, continuous improvement, and Kanban including VMI skills preferred.
- As a federal contractor, Siemens Energy continues to monitor federal and state legal guidelines regarding the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
Siemens Energy is pausing its mandatory vaccine policy while the issue is addressed by the courts. SEI will monitor the situation closely and may reimplement its policy if required to comply with federal law.
