Responsibilities :
Site Assessment : Conduct thorough assessments of project sites to evaluate soil conditions, site layout, and potential challenges related to concrete construction.
Concrete Testing : Perform tests on concrete mixtures to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards, ensuring the structural integrity of the project.
Project Planning : Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to develop efficient and effective plans for concrete-related tasks, adhering to project timelines and budget constraints.
Formwork and Reinforcement : Supervise the installation of formwork and reinforcement to guarantee the accurate placement and alignment of concrete.
Concrete Placement : Oversee concrete pouring and finishing operations, ensuring proper techniques are used to achieve the required surface characteristics and durability.
Quality Control : Implement quality control measures throughout the construction process to identify and resolve any issues promptly.
Safety Compliance : Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel involved.
Equipment Management : Manage and maintain concrete-related equipment, ensuring they are in optimal condition for use.
Troubleshooting : Address any on-site challenges or discrepancies in a timely and effective manner, proposing solutions to maintain project progress.
Documentation : Maintain accurate records of concrete quantities, testing results, work progress, and any modifications made during the construction process.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in concrete construction and field operations.
- Strong knowledge of concrete materials, mix design, and relevant industry standards.
- Familiarity with construction methodologies, practices, and techniques.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
