Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring a qualified, patient-care-focused Phlebotomist III to work in a Lab Facility in the Rocky River, OH area. Float Position

The Phlebotomist III is responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
They also have direct contact with patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
Job Responsibilities :
- Collect blood samples from patients for medical testing or donation.
- Must ensure they take the correct amount of blood and that the patient is comfortable during the procedure.
- Label and store blood samples to help doctors diagnose and treat patients.
- Verify patient information before drawing blood.
- Assemble and maintain equipment such as needles, test tubes, and blood vials.
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Perform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.
Job Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent Required.
- 2-4 years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections Required
- Minimum 3 years in a Patient Service Center environment Preferred
- Phlebotomy Certification Required
- Medical training : medical assistant or paramedic training Preferred
- Customer service in a retail or service environment Preferred
- Keyboard / data entry experience Required
- Must have EXCELLENT people skills with lots of patience and nurturing.
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Must demonstrate Superior Customer Focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients;
ability to accelerate and embrace change; and knowledge of our business.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

- Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
Job Details :
- Float Position - Floaters travel between multiple sites and are expected to be on time at whatever site they are covering for that day.
- Schedule : Shifts may vary
- Starting at $20 / hr. (Based on experience)
