Sam’s Clubs Omni Commerce team connects our almost 600 physical Clubs with our online commerce offering. We create seamless and innovative digital experiences for our Members that truly remove the boundaries between physical and online shopping.

What will you do?

• Research and create strategy for new technology areas.
• Create and scale prototypes of omni commerce systems and features.
• Provide guidance and lead a team of engineers to build quality software solutions.
• Champion innovation and help the entire organization to productize new technologies.
• Collaborate across teams and connect business, product and engineering to align strategies.
• Facilitate grass roots innovation efforts for the entire organization.
• Represent engineering innovation both internally as well as externally.

What you will bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Information Systems or related filed.
• 10+ years of programming experience in architecting scalable & highly performing customer applications, mobile as well as web.
• Experience with Open-Source technologies.
• Experience of leading R&D and rapid prototyping efforts.
• Strong senior level engineering leadership expertise in medium to large size company.
• Experience building / growing / leading a think-tank or innovation lab.
• Proven experience in hiring and mentoring world-class engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• JavaScript, React, Redux, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, Rest.
• Mobile Platform toolchains for iOS and Android.
• AI, Computer Vision, Augmented / Virtual / Extended Reality.

Minimum Qualifications...

• Option 1 : Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
• Option 2 : 8 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
• 3 years' supervisory experience.

2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
