Our client, a brand name employer in the area, is seeking a talented and motivated Corporate Accountant to join their growing team.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our client's financial operations.
Here's what you'll do :
Become a pillar of our Corporate Accounting Team : Actively participate in or supervise monthly consolidations, external financial reporting packages, and internal management reports .
Take point on SEC reporting responsibilities , ensuring compliance with the latest regulations.Establish a strong working relationship with external auditors, providing routine interface and assisting with the overall administration of external audits .
Sharpen your technical accounting skills : Conduct technical accounting research and assist in interpreting complex accounting questions.
Be at the forefront of innovation by participating in initiatives to modernize the technology supporting our financial and accounting processes .
- Support strategic growth : Assist with acquisition due diligence , ensuring smooth integration post-acquisition, and implementing proper acquisition accounting .
- Embrace Sustainability : Actively participate in our client's Sustainability Initiatives , demonstrating your commitment to a greener future.
- Become an Internal Control Expert : Deepen your understanding of our client's internal control environment, becoming a subject matter expert.
- Go the Extra Mile : Participate in numerous special projects and ad-hoc requests, showcasing your adaptability and problem-solving skills.
Bonus points if you can :
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial forecasts tasks.
Requirements for the Corporate Accountant include :
- Active CPA
- Over 5 years of public accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with Consolidations
- Proven experience with SEC filings
