Education : Working on a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or other appropriate technical degree from an accredited college
Experience : Has been introduced in lean manufacturing principles (Toyota Production System), kanban, 5S disciplines, Kaizen workshops, set up and cycle time reduction is preferred.
Supervisory experience is a plus. Demonstrated experience in working in cross functional teams a plus. Computer skills should include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as a minimum;
AutoCAD and Inventor experience are a plus. Recent college graduate with experience in Operations and scheduling a plus.
Essential Duties :
- Must possess thorough and relevant technical knowledge in the areas of Lean manufacturing, scheduling and ERP systems.
- Position requires consistent exercise of problem solving skills.
- Develops, documents, evaluates, and improves manufacturing processes.
- Analyze, develop and implement process control techniques and procedures
- Analyzes process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
- Collaborates with manufacturing and design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods.
- May assist with the research and establishment of cost data on new or redesigned products; may confer with vendors in determining product specifications and arranges equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluates products according to quality standards and specifications.
- Estimates staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions.
- Works closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
- Creates and maintains accurate documentation of tool drawings, design concepts, shop orders, and concepts in accordance with the R&D and quality assurance functions.
- Provides engineering support in production department to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems.
- Coordinates work with warehouse personnel, assigns technicians, and outside vendors.
- Supports company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, ASME and ISO compliance, and product manufacturing practices.
- Remains current on safety regulations as they relate to the product line; communicates these requirements to others as needed.

Physical Skill, Working Conditions & Hazards : Work may occasionally require a considerable variety of fairly
steady active physical exertion. Position requires ability to work in a normal office, design / drafting environment, and
requires occasional / regular exposure to production plant(s) environment with welding, machining, fabrication operations or
field exposure which may offer slightly disagreeable features; negligible / little or no exposure to hazardous conditions.
Must have ability to travel - generally by air and utilization of a rental car - occasionally, in conducting position
responsibilities.
