Job Overview :
Primoris Services Corporation is searching for an Accounting Manager - Fabrication assigned to our Corporate Shared Services Finance team.
This position will ultimately be responsible overseeing all aspects of accounting for the manufacturing group.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate the performance of product lines.
- Analyzing, understanding and communicating manufacturing variances, including but not limited to material and labor variances, cost absorption (over) / under, labor productivity, and purchase price variance for management review.
- Analyzing, understanding and communicating product-level profitability.
- Prepare month-end financial reporting and accounting tasks, including preparation of job cost allocations, reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Run various reports for quarterly reviews and annual SOX audit requirements.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Develop and maintain documentation for business and system processes for assigned responsibilities.
- Monitor and compare costs on the general ledger to annual company Selling, General and Administrative expense budget.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
- A four (4) year degree in Accounting.
- 10 years of professional accounting experience, public or industry.
- 5 years of managing people and processes
- 5 years of fabrication / manufacturing accounting and inventory management
- Accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deliverable deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written) to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- A dedication to continual process improvement.
PREFERRED SKILLS :
- Experience on jobs that involve Master Service Agreements work orders
- Experience working in the solar renewable energy field.
Salary - 125,000 - 150,000 depending on education, experience, and competencies.
