Foth is currently seeking a team-focused and results-oriented professional engineer with the desire to cultivate and advance South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) and county agency relationships from our Rapid City, SD location.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Lead technical engineering, quality assurance / control, and project management activities for SDDOT and county design and construction projects.
• Support growth and development of the DOT market by creating statements of qualifications, proposals, and presentations;

conducting contract negotiations; and participating in professional organizations, advertising, and tradeshows.

• Serve as the client contact for multiple project managers and other DOT relationships.
• Deliver projects within budget, schedule, and contractual commitments.
• Negotiate change orders to the scope of work with the client and subcontractors.
• Work closely with relevant permitting agencies.
• Develop technical reports, feasibility studies, and engineering designs.
• Provide construction administration as needed.
• Lead, coordinate, and build client teams.
• Establish objectives and provide performance feedback for team members.
• Participate in recruiting activities by attending professional networking events and college career fairs.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in South Dakota.
• Minimum five years of experience managing projects and client relationships.
• Minimum five years of experience working in the civil engineering consulting industry.

Preferred Qualifications :

10+ years of experience planning, designing, and constructing DOT projects.
