Primary Job Responsibilities :

• Work together with our other senior engineers to develop solutions from idea to implementation by tracking and managing progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Architect future-proof solutions to support growing business needs while thoroughly considering the system impact.
• Gather and refine requirements, and ship software in a timely fashion.
• Be adaptive and strike a good balance between speed and efficiency.
• 90% hands-on development.
• Perform other duties required by Management.

Qualifications :

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on programming with Laravel and PHP : Deep expertise in building and maintaining complex Laravel applications, with a strong grasp of PHP 8.x features.
• We are looking for someone who LOVES Laravel, and deeply appreciates its simplicity, elegance, and power.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Laravel's entire ecosystem : Proficient in Eloquent, queues, events, middleware, the service container, etc.

with a solid understanding of Laravel's architecture and conventions. You should be able to source-dive into Laravel's codebase and understand how all the pieces fit together.

Minimum 3+ years of experience with the TALL (Tailwind / Alpine / Laravel / Livewire) stack : Extensive experience with TailwindCSS, Alpine.

js for reactive components, and Livewire for dynamic, SPA-like interfaces in Laravel.

• Minimum 2+ years of experience with FilamentPHP : Proven ability to build with Filament Forms, Tables, and the Panel Builder, and to extend Filament with custom fields, actions, themes, and other features.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with MySQL and Redis : Proficient in designing and optimizing MySQL databases, writing efficient and complex queries, a deep understanding of MySQL indexes and index optimization strategies, and using Redis for caching, distributed locking, and other advanced use cases.
• Familiarity with deploying, managing, and scaling Laravel applications on AWS, including queues and storage solutions.
• Experience with AWS Lambda, SQS, S3, EC2, and other services is a huge plus.
• Extensive knowledge of software development, QA methodologies, and release process patterns : Mastery of automated testing in Laravel using Pest and Dusk.

Experience with CI / CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing.

• Experience with GitHub Actions is a huge plus.
• Proven experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture : Expertise in designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs, including authentication (OAuth2, JWT), rate limiting, and documentation using tools like Swagger.
• Proficient with version control tools (Git) : Extensive experience managing complex codebases using Git, with a deep understanding of branching, merging, and code review processes.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, maintainable code with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize Laravel applications for performance, security, and maintainability.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, write clear technical documentation, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Must be comfortable contributing to discussions in team meetings and code reviews.

• Experience with Cloudflare is a huge plus, specifically familiarity with Cloudflare's CDN, WAF, DDoS protection, and other services.
• Experience with Laravel Octane and other performance optimization techniques is a huge plus.
• Additional experience that is a huge plus : ClickHouse, Kubernetes, static analysis tools like PHPStan, extreme confidence source-diving into open-source projects.
