Summary Statement : The Payroll Supervisor supervises Payroll representatives, ensuring that all processes are executed appropriately and in a timely manner.
The Supervisor optimizes the contribution of the team through coaching, counseling and implements workable solutions to business issues / problems with minimum referral to management.
The Supervisor conducts work planning, estimation, and prioritization with the Payroll Manager to define standards and reusable approaches for Payroll operations.

Primary Job Duties : Includes but is not limited to : Develop best practices to improve efficiency of payroll processes.
Oversee employee payroll accounting, transactions, and reporting activities. Assist payroll staff and conduct performance evaluations.
Ensure that payroll is processed timely and accurately. Assist in payroll calculations, deductions, insurance coverage, wage garnishments, tax filings and child support.
Maintain employee payroll records up-to-date and accurate. Prepare employee wage summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leaves, retirement savings and benefits.
Provide support in tax calculation and filing for employees. Address payroll-related queries and requests from employees.
Review and recommend improvements to existing payroll procedures. Analyze payroll problems and provide appropriate resolutions.
Follow and enforce federal, state, and local laws. Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to carry out payroll processing.
Assist in audit operations and implement audit recommendations. Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing. Use personal device / cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
Other duties as assigned. Qualifications : Includes but is not limited to : Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (example Word, Excel).
Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to effectively communicate in English. Polished appearance and demeanor.
Excellent customer service skills. Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ability to successfully mentor and lead a team. Preferred : Working knowledge and experience with UltiPro, Workforce, or similar tool.
Previous experience working in a large, integrated casino resort. Minimum Education and Experience : At least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year of previous payroll experience in a similar or related field. Minimum one year of supervisory experience in a similar or related field.
