RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers University are seeking a Hospitalist to join our Oncology Hospitalist Medicine Division in New Brunswick, NJ!  Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick is seeking a full time Hospitalist to join our Oncology Division with Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ (CINJ) , the stateâ€s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, The State University of New Jersey .

This is a great opportunity for an eager physician to join a well-established, multidisciplinary team alongside a strong support staff including advanced practice providers with the goal of providing high-level care.

 In this position, the hospitalist will primarily manage oncology patients through our solid oncology and liquid oncology services, in close collaboration with the oncologists who practice at CINJ.

 Our goal is to continue building a strong partnership with the outpatient oncology practices, to treat patients who require the acute inpatient level of care.

 The hospitalist will engage in the inpatient care, assist with the transitions of care back to the ambulatory setting, and work closely with the surgical and medical oncologic support staff, inclusive of advanced practice providers.

Unique opportunities also exist for collaborations between clinical and research programs, clinical trials research, cancer chemoprevention, clinical and basic pharmacology, novel cell therapy constructs, and participation in a broad range of teaching initiatives.

 Ideal candidates will be excited to join a busy practice and support a team-based approach to care and clearly communicate with other Hospitalists, case managers, social workers, bed managers, and all others involved in the patients' care, discharge planning and patient / family communications.

Candidates will also have the unique opportunity to experience the brand new, , a state-of-the-art, freestanding cancer hospital featuring outpatient and inpatient capacity coupled with research laboratories, retail space and ancillary services devoted to patient wellness and will be a first of its kind in New Jersey.
