Veteran Wanted - Heavy Equipment Operator in Orlando, FL

We are currently seeking a motivated veteran to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Operator in Orlando, FL. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in safely and efficiently operating heavy machinery, such as dozers and loaders, to move materials and support our construction operations.

Position : Heavy Equipment Operator

Location : Orlando, FL

Responsibilities :

• Operate heavy equipment, including dozers, loaders, excavators, and graders, to perform various tasks such as excavation, grading, and material handling.
• Safely and efficiently load and unload materials, move earth and other materials as required.
• Conduct pre-operation equipment inspections to ensure proper functioning and identify any potential issues or safety concerns.
• Operate equipment following established procedures, guidelines, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with construction team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet project deadlines.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to keep it in good working condition.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow project plans, blueprints, and instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, accidents, or incidents immediately to supervisors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements :

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, or related machinery.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions and challenging environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
