Project Manager - Capital Projects

Job Summary :
Responsible for overseeing the implementation of capital projects, including defining project scope, allocating resources, creating budgets and schedules, and managing risk.
This role will involve leading initiatives such as new product launches, automation projects, and capacity expansions.
- Lead cross-functional projects focused on improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency within manufacturing and assembly operations by implementing innovative process enhancements.
- Drive waste reduction, technology integration, and skill development among production teams to achieve project goals.
- Provide technical guidance to engineering and assembly personnel to ensure successful execution of operations projects.
- Lead advancements in processing techniques to support long-term growth objectives while maintaining safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Prepare and evaluate reports, presentations, and budgets in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with various departments and management levels, including delivering executive-level presentations as needed.
- Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and equipment suppliers to develop and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment installations.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and improvement strategies to inform manufacturing process solutions.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and 3P methodologies to drive cost reduction and efficiency improvements in production processes.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering preferred).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Capital Expenditure.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing with a focus on process improvements, capital improvements, and automation efficiency.
- Experience with new product launches is required.
- Proficient in spreadsheet, presentation software, and standard computer applications.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD / modeling software is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated history of creativity, innovation, and proactive problem-solving.
- Six Sigma, Red X, or other problem-solving certifications are preferred but not required.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies is desired.
