Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Test Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You’ll Get To Do :

  • Participate and lead technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal / external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables.
  • Identify required resources for segment, element, and system level tests and demonstrations.
  • Integration of H / W and S / W products for test configurations and test events
  • Participate in the execution of qualification and acceptance testing.
  • Participate in internal and customer test planning working groups.
  • Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9 / 80. The 9 / 80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications :

  • 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree; 7 years with a Masters; 4 years with a PhD; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
  • Technical experience in network, computer hardware and software, and interfacing technologies
  • Knowledge of system integration and test principles and processes
  • Experience with Windows and Linux systems
  • Experience in a lab / test environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present technical details to peers, and stakeholders
  • Experience with vSphere, vMotion, and other hypervisor-based products
  • The ability to acquire a CompTIA Security+ certification within 6 months of employment

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have :

  • US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
  • Experience with MBSE principals using IBM DOORS or CAMEO
  • Experience operating in an Agile environment using any of the Atlassian software toolsets (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
  • Understanding of Northrop Grumman test processes and tools
  • Have an active CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Salary Range : *$104,400 - $156,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
