Position Overview :

The Welding / Metal Fabricator is responsible for performing various welding and metal fabrication tasks to create, assemble, and repair metal products and structures.

This role requires a high level of skill in different welding techniques, an understanding of metal properties, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

The Welding / Metal Fabricator plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of metal products used in manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Fabricates and / or repairs weldments and other metal components for released products complying with all established ISO and company-defined manufacturing procedures.
• Fabricate metal components and weldments for development projects at the direction of the Production Manager and in conjunction with the applicable Engineering Team.
• Assist with applicable facilities projects that may require welding or metal fabrication.
• Coordinating with the Materials team help maintain floor stock of all applicable fabrication materials.
• Assist, as applicable, collecting and analyzing data in support of production metrics.
• Maintain all applicable safety, cleanliness and housekeeping standards within work area.

Qualifications :

• Requires High School Diploma
• Minimum 5 years of high purity, stainless steel welding and metal fabrication experience for critical applications such as the semiconductor industry.
• Ability and experience with both orbital and hand welding.
• Familiarity with metal fabrication for high purity applications
• Proficient use of written and verbal English
• Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to read and understand diagrams, procedures, drawings and schematics.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment.
• Understanding of widely-used quality systems such as ISO.
• Ability to lift approximately 35 pounds.
• S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
