Position Overview : The Maintenance Mechanic is an essential part of our manufacturing team. The position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to support production goals.

As our Maintenance Mechanic you will perform various roles including fabrication, welding, cutting, greasing, and general housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities :

• In all actions support Aquestia’s quality policies, safety policies and core company values of Fairness, Honesty, and Integrity.
• Maximize performance of stationary equipment by performing repairs and ensuring preventative maintenance inspections are complete on a timely basis.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose cause of equipment failure and apply corrective action.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical and structure repair in and around the facility.
• Work in a safe and organized manner.
• Assist with the installation of new equipment.
• Perform Lockout / Tagout procedures in accordance with company policy.
• Take an active role in plant safety initiatives.
• Conduct OSHA pre-shift safety inspections of equipment and work areas.
• Complete required paperwork to maintain equipment.
• Follows established Lean Manufacturing and 6-S procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Associate degree in a related field from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
• Minimum three years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance procedure manuals.
• Prior forklift certification desired.
• Valid driver license and clean driving record to operate company vehicle.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud.
• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection.
• May occasionally lift and / or move up to 10-50 pounds.
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
