Job Overview :
LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a healthcare organization seeking a Clinical Reimbursement Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial role in the financial health of the healthcare organization.
This position is based 100% remote. This is a temporary position with the potential for long-term employment based on performance.
Responsibilities :
Evaluates Cath lab notes and identifies the appropriate procedures charges / CPT codes / modifiers
Identifies when documentation relevant to coding procedure is missing, lacks specificity, or is inconsistent and communicates with physicians via EPIC to obtain the missing information.
Applies regulatory requirements such as medical necessity policies as CPT codes are being selected
Demonstrates an expert knowledge of hospital outpatient coding guidelines, medical terminology, anatomy / physiology, and payer specific coding guidelines.
Understands reimbursement methodology and public reporting of outcomes.
Qualifications :
5 years coding- Cath lab Charging / Coding for diagnostic and invasive procedures required
CIRCC, RHIA / RHIT required
Company will NOT provide equipment for this role. The expectation is that each candidate will have their own device to log into the system with.
