We’re seeking a future team member in the role of Mainframe Database Services Infrastructure Engineer to join our TECHNOLOGY SERVICES GROUP INC team .

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways :

The Mainframe Db Database Administrator / Engineer is responsible for administration, and evangelizing the culture, practices, processes, and tools that enable the business in the delivery of optimal services of Database development & maintenance - modernization / migration, and support / operation;

with managing the administration of z / OS Db databases including backups, statistics, reorgs, physical database design, and supporting application development and applications

• The successful candidate will perform z / OS Db database administration duties including problem resolution, SQL and database performance tuning, backups and recoveries, and disaster contingency testing
• Contributing to continuous improvements within the team in developing reports / tools to help manage and optimize the environments
• Support the investigating, analyzing, and resolving database incidents including performance bottlenecks and production batch incidents

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following :

College / Technical Degree with - years’ technical experience with increasing responsibilities and knowledge and expertise.

Knowing mainframe Db operational and processing perspectives with distributed WEB access, SQL performance and tuning, and Db operational problem determination skills.

years of IBM Db Database Administrative Experience, knowing mainframe technologies to be able to assist application developers in exploiting new Db features and functionality to increase business value and modernize database platform and processing.

Considerable knowledge and ability to identify, analyze and resolve complex business and technical problems

• Advanced technical knowledge of Db SQL, Performance Management and Utilities for z / OS along with mainframe related tools such as BMC, Online performance monitoring tools, ISPF, SMS
• Strong execution mind-set to perform, manage and track progress against transformational goals
• Works collaborative with other team and application developers and exhibit strong interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication skills;

proven problem-solving skills; technical problem-solving skills and analytical skills; ability to prepare correspondence, position papers and documentation
