Job Title : Material Handler

Job Description

We are currently looking for material handlers for both 2nd and 3rd shifts. These material handlers will start in either the sheet metal bay or the bar bay based on current needs.

2nd shift : 3 PM - 11 : 30 PM, Monday-Friday (busiest shift, must be prepared to work 52-55 hours weekly, all overtime will be after the shift end time).

3rd shift : 11 PM - 7 : 30 AM, Sunday-Thursday (must be prepared to work about 45-50 hours, all overtime will be after the shift).

Candidates will train on 1st shift for about a month . The initial training includes 2-3 weeks of classroom training (safety, core values, basic certifications) followed by 3-4 weeks of hands-on training (forklift certifications, procedural duties).

Candidates will be certified on forklifts and overhead cranes regardless of prior certifications. In this role, you will primarily perform order selection using high reach / side loader forklifts and sit-down forklifts, sorting and banding material, and using overhead cranes when necessary.

This is not solely a forklift role; you will also be responsible for order selecting, maneuvering material, loading trucks, banding various metals, and lifting up to 55 lbs independently (team lift or forklift for heavier items).

Any skills you lack can be taught on the job.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Hellam, Pennsylvania.

The facility has recently expanded from 60,000 to 197,000 square feet, offering a spacious and modern work environment. 95% of the machinery is less than a year old, providing a contemporary setting in terms of building, lighting, and equipment.
