Firetrace International is a leading provider of automatic fire detection and suppression products, serving various industry segments including precision manufacturing, critical infrastructure, clean energy and aerospace.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for recording financial transactions and preparing and reviewing financial documents.

Key responsibilities :

• General Ledger : Maintain and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts ensuring all transactions are accounted for on a timely basis
• Journal Entries : Record assigned recurring journal entries, ensuring supporting documentation is prepared and maintained in accordance with current policies & procedures
• P&L Analysis : Perform monthly P&L analysis versus budget with the goal of improving company-wide access to data critical to decision making
• Technology Improvements : Assist in the implementation of technology tools to support improved business processes

What we need from you

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
• 2+ years experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable, with experience in accounting for a manufacturing company strongly preferred
• Proven ability to drive necessary process improvements through cross department collaboration
• Passionate commitment to demonstrating Firetrace values and behaviors
• Experience in fixed assets, credit and collections, general ledger management, or sales tax a plus.
• Docuphase or other document management system experience is helpful, but not required.
