Auto Cad - Injection Mold Processes

Location : Maple Grove, MN
Position Type : 12 months contract
Pay : $25-$30 / HR
Join our dynamic injection molding group, where you'll collaborate closely with Process Development (PD) engineers and project teams to support the creation of new injection molded components, processes, and equipment.
As a key player in our development efforts, you'll contribute to prototyping, testing, and optimizing processes, ensuring the success of our manufacturing goals.
Duties :
- Utilize CAD or mechanical drawing software to document prototypes and fixtures.
- Qualify tooling and fixturing to ensure it meets design specifications.
- Contribute creative solutions and rationales to design and process concepts.
- Organize, coordinate, and execute prototype / product builds and testing according to engineering instructions.
- Assist project teams with defining specifications and quality standards.
- May assist with metrology, coordinating gage calibrations used in process development.
- Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment as needed and support equipment strategy.
What We're Looking For :
- 3 years of experience.
- AA degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- AutoCAD or mechanical drawing software experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, set up, and run injection molding operations for component production.
- Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment as needed and support equipment strategy.
- Troubleshoot and optimize molding processes for maximum efficiency.
- Partner with PD and Manufacturing teams to develop processes for prototype designs.
- Prototype new components and supply samples for performance testing.
- Conceptualize and construct prototypes / products based on design concepts.
