About the Nursing Administration department :
We’re seeking a Nursing Supervisor to join our team at Novant Health. As a Nursing Supervisor, you will be an essential member of our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of our facility during all shifts.
Your primary responsibilities will include responding to emergencies of all codes, conducting rounds on all units, providing support in the absence of managers, handling patient complaints during off hours, assisting with staffing needs, and supporting administrative tasks.
Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Current valid North Carolina nursing license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience or related experience in health care.
1-year previous management or leadership experience preferred.

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.
In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Responsibilities :
Collaborate with all departments to identify and eliminate barriers affecting timely patient care delivery.
Ensure prompt placement of patients in beds across the system.
Act as Administrative Representative during shifts.
Improve internal communications between departments and units to meet patient care needs effectively.
Participate in teams and committees impacting patient flow.
