Applications / System Engineer researches, develops, designs, tests and documents products and systems for use in the Semi-conductor industry.
Continuously improves process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers / cross-functional groups and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes.
Also directs and coordinates activities for taking products and systems from concept through launch. Specific areas include Automation, Industrial Control Panels, Test and Measurement Equipment, and Fluid Control Systems.
- Provide engineering documentation such as bill of materials, schematic drawings, design calculations, drawings and technical reports.
- Researches and analyzes information such as customer or marketing requirements, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Design test equipment and develop methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
- Assist in customer issue resolution of Ichor designed products.
- Provide support for generating technical information for sales literature and application questions.
- Communicate effectively with Engineering Department personnel to ensure a cooperative work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical).
- Excellent problem solving, technical, written and oral communication and customer service skills.
- Strong background in system design and familiar with solid model CAD packages such as SolidWorks.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word, MS Project experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to provide accurate, timely work while maintaining detailed design history documentation.
- Familiarity with Ultra High Purity industry fluid delivery or other fluid delivery industries.
- Commitment to quality, customer focused mindset both internally and externally.
- Creative, entrepreneurial, assertive, and diligent.
- Team player in projects and active participant in engineering teams.
- Experience with C# or similar programs preferred.
- Experience with interfacing with outside world e.g. Ethernet or Serial Protocols like SCPI or Modbus preferred along with Data Acquisition like National Instruments.
