As a Cloud Network Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in designing, managing, and optimizing our cloud network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
You will collaborate with a range of stakeholders to align cloud network operations with business objectives and ensure that our cloud-based network systems meet the highest standards of reliability and security.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
AWS Networking Infrastructure Management : Design, deploy, and maintain AWS networking infrastructure, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, security groups, network access control lists (NACLs), VPN connections, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and AWS Global Accelerator.
Ensure that networking infrastructure is designed for high availability and scalability.
Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Implement monitoring solutions using AWS CloudWatch, AWS VPC Flow Logs, and other monitoring tools to track network performance, resource usage, and application behavior.
Analyze and resolve network-related incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to avoid future disruptions.
Network Resiliency and Recovery : Design, implement, and manage strategies to ensure network resiliency and swift recovery from disruptions.
Develop robust plans for network redundancy, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery to maintain continuous operations. Regularly test these strategies to verify their effectiveness.
Expertise in high availability network configurations and recovery strategies, along with knowledge of appropriate tools, is essential.
Network Security and Compliance : In close collaboration with the QTC Info Security team, develop and enforce AWS network security policies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
This includes managing access controls, implementing encryption, and conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Deployment and management of Palo Alto firewalls in a cloud environment.
Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Use scripting languages and tools to automate routine tasks such as network provisioning, scaling, and disaster recovery.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation to maintain consistency and reliability.
Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with other IT teams, including cloud administrators, developers, DevOps engineers, and other network engineers, to ensure seamless integration of cloud services.
Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders and customers.
Documentation and Best Practices : Maintain accurate documentation for all cloud network infrastructure, including architecture diagrams, configuration files, and standard operating procedures.
Stay informed about the latest cloud technologies and best practices, sharing knowledge with the team and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
Cost Management and Optimization : Monitor cloud network resource usage and costs, providing regular reports and recommendations for cost optimization.
Work with stakeholders to implement cost-saving measures without compromising performance or security.
Skills Required :
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with w / years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Extensive experience with AWS networking services including VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups, NACLs, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, AWS Global Accelerator, and VPC Peering
- years of experience in AWS cloud technologies with a focus on networking in an enterprise or global organization.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Strong understanding of cloud network security best practices and AWS network security services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Knowledge of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and tools.
- Hands-on experience with AWS CLI and SDKs / API tools.
- Experience with DevOps practices and knowledge of agile methodologies and tools.
Skills Desired :
- Knowledge of the ServiceNow ITIL platform and related ITSM functions.
- AWS certifications (, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty).
- Anticipates future technology needs and identifies proactive solutions with a driver mentality and engineering mindset.
