Security Officer - Armed Patrol Healthcare

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Healthcare in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. This role requires driving and carrying a firearm as part of your daily responsibilities. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeWed02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Thur02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Fri02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sat02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sun02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
  • Assist staff, visitors, and patients by providing information and directions as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency responders as required during critical incidents.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while carrying out armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies and procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
