Delta Star also provides comprehensive engineering, testing, maintenance services, and parts for any transformer manufacturer through our Field Service business unit, ensuring our customer's transformers and mobiles maintain peak performance.

Candidates must be able to learn to :

• Set up winding machines and tensioning devices.
• Wind helical and disk high and low voltage, tertiary voltage, regulating voltage and preventive auto coils.
• Check material, measure with micrometer and log on engineering specification sheet and DIR.
• Set up, operate with minimum supervision paper shears, press brake, band saw, key space puncher, electric shearer, form, and fold insulating material and static shields.
• Perform precise adjustments to the guard of the band saw and guard of the electric shearer to cut different sized material and to produce lead pads, ducts, tie ends, pack-out and core window insulation.

Minimum Requirements :

• At least six (6) months related manufacturing experience and / or training in the field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Other Requirements :

• Ability to use all basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to use measurement tools such as square, micrometer, tape measure, etc.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to follow all safety practices.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Must have a positive attitude and foster a continuous improvement environment.
• Must have excellent attendance.
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 70 pounds with assistance.
• Willing and able to work overtime as required.
• Proficient in English reading and writing, and conversant in English
