Hiring Hub is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for one of our clients. The Candidate will plan, direct, manage and oversee assigned engineering activities and operations of the Municipal Development department including traffic engineering, engineering, street maintenance, storm drainage maintenance, and construction services;
coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies; and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Director of Municipal Development.
Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering or related field; and
Nine (9) years of professional engineering experience; and
To include six (6) years supervisory experience
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering or related field; and
Seven (7) years of professional engineering experience; and
To include six (6) years supervisory experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license. If applicant has out of state license, must obtain State of New Mexico license within one (1) year from date of hire.

- Methods and techniques of storm drainage and street maintenance
- Operational procedures of wastewater treatment plant and lift station facilities
- Operational characteristics of water pump stations, treatment facilities and reservoirs
- Methods and techniques of evaluating system performance and recommending modifications
- Principles and practices of street and traffic signal maintenance and repair
- Principles and practices of construction
- Principles and procedures of contract negotiation
- Principles and practices of program development and administration
- Principles and practices of municipal budget preparation and administration
- Principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation
- Pertinent Federal, State and local laws, codes, regulations and ordinances
- Federal, State and local grant programs and their requirements
