Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor. This role will lead electrical operations at a Detroit-based mining facility. The Supervisor will manage power distribution, control circuits, and electrical projects while mentoring a skilled team. A valid Journeyman Certificate is required, and the ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, hands-on leadership, and a safety-first mindset.
In this role, you will
- Lead and coordinate electrical maintenance and construction activities across the mine site
- Plan, implement, and maintain electrical power distribution networks for optimal performance
- Design and install control circuits for mining equipment with safety and reliability in mind
- Manage electrical projects from planning through execution, meeting budgets, schedules, and quality standards
- Enforce strict safety policies and foster a safety-first culture
- Mentor, train, and evaluate electricians and technicians
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, milestones, and system performance
- Identify and implement improvements to increase reliability and reduce costs
Requirements
Valid Journeyman Certificate requiredBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred2+ years in a supervisory role within an industrial or mining environmentStrong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control circuits (underground mining a plus)Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor technical teamsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated commitment to safety and complianceBenefits
