Summary

Leading the inspiration and application of emerging trends, the Creative Stylist will be responsible for the execution of product styling (on and off model) that deliver the JD brand.

This position will play a key role within a specialized studio team collaborating with internal and external partners to document styling trends in apparel, footwear, and hair / makeup, as well as identifying model talent to showcase and support our product stories.

As a leader, this person will help nurture stylists-connecting them with the tools to deliver efficiently and effectively.

Creative eyes will be used on set to evaluate and elevate in real time. The Creative Stylist will also proactively develop documentation to capture standards as well as forecasting of trends and styles.

In this role you will be part of an integrated and critical pillar of the creative team that finds the balance to continually push the limits of fashion while also accurately presenting the voice, vision, and culture of the JD brand.

This individual will effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following main duties :

Conceptualize, develop and present creative ideas for model and product photography / video that align with the company's brand identity and objectives.

Collaborate with art directors, photographers, and videographers from conception to completion.

Curate, plan, and advise talent for casting, hair and make-up.

Research and stay updated on global industry trends and best practices in high-fashion photoshoots and incorporate innovative techniques into your work.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide creative input, and ensure that visual content meets expectations.

Maintain organized files and assets, and adhere to established workflows and processes to streamline production efficiency.

Connect with other team members, including art directors, photographers, designers, animators, and marketers, to ensure cohesive looks that align with the JD visual narrative across various platforms and channels.

Additional projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

Proven experience styling looks for professional runway, events, and product advertising preferably in a creative agency or fashion retail brand environment.

Artistic eye and passion for emerging trends in pop-culture, fashion, hair and make-up.

Strong understanding of visual aesthetics including color palettes, textiles, fabrics, and accessories.

Professional toolkit and network of resources that help elevate the styling process.

Excellent creative and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling looks that match the JD brand.

Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics, composition, and lighting in-studio and on location.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines while being flexible and adaptable to changing needs.

Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively present and articulate creative ideas.

A portfolio showcasing your previous work in professional styling and advertising.

Required Computer and / or Technical Skills

Should have basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Google suite software, and competence in learning how to maximize the use of new software.

Should be fluent in both Mac and PC operating systems.

The work environment for this position is a moderately noisy office setting. Job tasks and responsibilities may require exposure to a moderate to loud warehouse setting.
