Job Title : Medical Laboratory TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Medical Laboratory Technician will be working under general and medical supervision, performing waived and moderately complex laboratory tests as defined by CLIA Regulations.
The scope of work includes carrying out clinical laboratory test procedures in Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and coagulation tests.
The role also involves knowledge of Quality control, Instrument calibration, and preventative periodic maintenance of instruments.
The technician will be expected to communicate effectively and clearly with medical staff, clients, and patients.Hard SkillsExperience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for at least 6 months to 1 yearFamiliarity with various laboratory instruments such as ISTAT, Piccolo, Chemistry Analyzer, Coulter or any CBC instruments, Urinalysis instruments like Clinitek or Seimens Urine analyzer, Coagu-Check instrumentKnowledge of Quality controlInstrument calibrationPreventative periodic maintenance of instrumentsSoft SkillsEffective and clear communicationJob TypeThis is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 24 Week(s).
