THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION Saturday and Sunday 7 : 00am-7 : 30pm OR Saturday and Sunday 7 : 00pm-7 : 30 am Essential Duties Provides or coordinates initial assessment and counseling of patients scheduled or walk-in clients;
Responds to each person / family in a timely manner with appropriate clinical intervention and judgement; Provides immediate information and emotional support according to need and within departmental and UBC policy Provides additional evaluation / consultation as deemed necessary (i.
e. psychiatric assessment) Accepts phone calls; responds timely to phone call messages Ensures a smooth transition of admission process to alleviate anxieties in discussing treatment, financial responsibility, etc.
Follows department and hospital policies and procedures consistently; Provides information and consultations when necessary;
