Security Officer - Armed Financial Institution Patrol - Part Time

As a part-time security officer in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as financial institutions and more.

As a patrol armed officer with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution location, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine armed patrols and maintaining a strong, visible presence. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $29.41 / hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Tue 08 : 45 AM - 05 : 15 PM

Wed 08 : 45 AM - 05 : 15 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution's premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas of the location, remaining alert to any unusual activity or potential concerns.
  • Assist with emergency response activities in accordance with site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Document incidents and observations as required, maintaining clear and accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with location staff and / or law enforcement as needed to address incidents or concerns.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized or criminal activity on the premises.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Possess Act 235 qualification if applying in Pennsylvania.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
