As the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for employee safety and associated training, quality and accuracy, employee relations, and daily departmental performance metrics.
Here’s What You’ll Get To Do
- Learn, develop, and perform in a safety-oriented and team driven environment.
- Ensure all employees follow operation standards and working practices developed by management and verify the conformance to specifications.
- Assist management with the compiling, storing, and retrieving of production data and other record-keeping duties.
- Use data to assist in driving optimal departmental results defined by AOP.
- Kronos timekeeping & payroll
- Assist with the company's safety program to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment in part by participating in the safety and 5-S programs of the department.
- Contribute to and support Process Improvement, Quality Assurance, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Supervise a diverse work group.
- Handle employee relations issues
- Process and cost improvements
- Manage employee performance.
- Communicate the goals of the organization to the workforce through one on one, crew, toolbox, and safety meetings.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Here’s What We’re Looking For
- Be able to work 12-hour shifts on a 21-turn schedule days or nights.
- Must have basic Packing & Material Handling process knowledge.
- Must have equipment operation knowledge (Powered Industrial Equipment)
- Leadership attributes must be in line with OBE vision.
- Prior management experience a plus.
- Manufacturing experience required.
- Must have developed PC skills w / MS Word, Excel & PPT
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- The ability to work in a team environment supportive of employees, the organization as well as safety and production efforts is a must.
- A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through teamwork.
- Experience with employee training and development.
- Quality orientation and attention to detail managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.
