ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting new opportunity with a growing real estate development company looking to hire fulltime IT Help Desk Specialist.

This position reports to the on-property IT Manager and works with them along with the parent company’s IT team

This position is entirely on-site local applicants only, schedule includes working weekends Saturday and Sunday.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Provide technical support to both our internal team and our guests for various issues
  • Supporting Microsoft Office 365 and the Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Handling Active Directory account provisioning and setting up group permissions
  • Building and configuring PCs and laptops as well as loading software
  • Running and terminating infrastructure cabling between workstations and communication closets
  • Responding to user calls and emails to troubleshoot reported problems and taking necessary steps to resolve the issue
  • Assist users with Operating System issues, desktop software and network / local printer issues
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager to troubleshoot and resolve ad-hoc incidents with hardware, software when needed
  • Administer email, team collaboration platform, and anti-virus systems
  • Setup of peripherals and components when necessary
  • Help set up audio / visual components for in-house and guest events
  • Assist with troubleshooting Property Management Software (PMS) and Point of Sales (POS) software
  • Assist with troubleshooting an on-premises VoIP solution
  • Keep track of IT supplies and equipment

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2-4 years’ experience
  • A flexible, can-do attitude with customer orientation and strong dependability
  • Reliable, punctual, well-organized, self-motivator who works well alone and with others
  • Experience with Windows 10 computers
  • Understanding of networking concepts : DHCP, DNS, LAN / WAN, TCP / IP, VoIP, PoE, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Customer-oriented and cool-temperament
  • Able to work in a mixed hospitality / office environment
  • Experience working within hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of Oracle Opera Cloud PMS
  • Knowledge of Oracle Micros
  • Experience working with MFA and RMM solution
