Position Mission :

Act as a trusted advisor to field leaders while driving a people first culture of high performance and ownership. Focus on our key performance indicators including team member and general manager retention, driving internal promotion rate and effective performance management.

Facilitate effective talent and succession planning reviews to ensure we have the right talent in role and provide meaningful career advancement opportunities.

Provides guidance and support in all areas of HR, including compensation, benefits, employee relations, and communications.

Forms effective partnerships across the HR function to deliver impactful services to management and employees so they’re able to set up every guest for a brighter day.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to :

  • Functions as key HR strategic business partner with operations leadership team to execute critical business and organizational strategies including effective performance management, succession planning, goal alignment, employee engagement, and communications.
  • Works to ensure we have quality talent in the right positions, focusing on GM and TM retention and succession planning, to drive our key people KPIs.
  • Be a credible coach and confidante to the operations leadership team, as well as a strong employee advocate
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Works independently to conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Provides documentation to support findings.

And provides direction to leadership based on those findings

  • Builds and maintains a positive and respected working relationship with all levels of employees and maintains professional discretion and confidentiality.
  • Oversees or conducts research of local market rates for positions to assess relationship to organization compensation plan, determining if and where pay adjustments should be made
  • Participates in regularly scheduled meetings with other Human Resources staff to exchange information and provide ongoing support and problem resolution
  • Conducts and analyzes trends within each region in turnover, hiring, promotions, separations, and grievances to determine support or action needed to adjust unfavorable trends
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while remaining orientated on results

Required Education, Experience and Skills :

  • Bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience, or a combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a HRBP in Fast casual, restaurant, retail and / or hospitality. Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in human resources or operations.
  • HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, etc.) highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including performance management, compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, and inclusion, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Must be in possession of a current, valid, state issued driver’s license and meet the driving qualifications as required by Company policy
  • Ability to travel 20%, as business requires

Physical Requirements :

Frequently walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Ability to process vague, abstract verbal and written instructions. Ability to work under stress, interruptions, and tight deadlines.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, little exposure to chemicals and potential exposure to smoke.

This position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

Compensation Range :

Annual Salary : $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 (depending on experience and location)
