Job Title : Construction Materials Tester
Job Description
Looking for a CMT to go to a job site and test the concrete, asphalt, and soil for commercial construction projects. This is an entry-level position, although candidates with previous inspecting experience are welcome.
Responsibilities include using a Nuclear Density Gauge to check soil compaction and using concrete cylinders to complete air and slump testing.
Certifications such as Nuc Density Gauge and ACI certification are preferred. Field-based testing experience, preferably in a geotechnical or engineering firm, is required with a minimum of 6 months.

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Omaha, Nebraska.
Work Environment
The work will be performed out in the field, involving dirt and poured concrete. Candidates will work in various conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and snow, with long hours.
A typical work week is 6 days during the summer, sometimes with 10-12 hour days. Winter hours may slow down to 32-40 hours per week, but candidates must be trained and ready for the busy season in spring.
Dress code includes steel toe boots and a t-shirt. Safety gear such as hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves will be provided.
Start times vary from 6 : 30 AM-7 : 30 AM to 6 : 30 PM or 7 PM depending on concrete pours, with average hours from 7 AM to 5 : 30 PM.
Candidates will use a company truck to reach job sites, and return the truck at the end of the day.
