HEAVY TRUCK PARTS CLERK

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

As a valued member of our team, you would be responsible for inventory control, executing shop administrative tasks, and organizing day-to-day functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including the following; other duties may be assigned)

• Compile Parts research and availability for inventory needed.
• Review order points and quantity with supervisors.
• Establish / maintain accounts and parts inventory levels.
• Storing, labeling, and organizing parts inventories.
• Issue parts as requisitioned.
• Determine parts dispositions as needed.
• Order and receive inventories into our RTA Fleet Management Software.
• Report on a daily basis work orders and activity reports.
• Track and process purchases
• Manage the parts inventory for the main shop
• Issue parts as requisitioned
• Assist in parts purchasing
• Handle warranty part ordering / returns
• Process and manage receipts, payables, and invoices from suppliers
• Manage vendor performance for timely repairs and invoicing
• Answer telephone dealing directly with customers and vendors
• Inform / Schedule preventative maintenance service with customers
• Accurately input work requests into our system
• Other tasks as required

Qualifications

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
• Barcoding experience
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• High degree of accuracy
• Good time management skills
• Regular, predictable, full time attendance is an essential function of the job
• Heavy truck and equipment experience

Education / Experience

• High School diploma or GED
• 2 years of parts inventory experience
• 1 year of inventory management experience preferred
• Valid unrestricted California Driver License

Language Skills

• Effective oral and written communications skills in English language
• Bilingual candidates who can speak both English and Spanish are preferred, but not mandatory

Ability to work independently
