Prominent industry leader in the production of high quality towel, bath tissue and hand care products in the Away From Home in the NYC metro area is seeking a talented and experienced ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR to supervise assigned electricians, and leadmen, provide positive, proactive direction and management to assigned crews and conduct performance reviews
Responsibilities include :
- Work closely with Business Unit Managers, mechanical maintenance supervisor, shift supervisors, planning department and appropriate department personnel to assure that all electrical maintenance activities are coordinated and executed to established plans and schedules.
- Assess the needs of the crew and implement developmental processes (e.g., coaching, counselling, taking corrective action, mentoring, etc.
to continuously improve their performance.
- Responsible for weekend and nightly mill wide calls.
- Responsible for payroll approval process.
- Review job assignments.
- Oversee maintenance activities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School or equivalent, post-secondary education is desirable, such as vocational training or course work in engineering technology.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
- Core Competencies should include Customer Focus, Energy and Stress Management, Quality Orientation, Accountability and Dependability, Ethics and Integrity, Communication, Teamwork, Problem Solving, and Operating Equipment.
- Computer Literate : To utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other applications in conjunction with the assigned tasks / activities (training will be provided).
- A record of stable & continuous employment, including a minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience, preference given to PAPER, PACKAGING / CONVERTING experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a maintenance supervisor role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of OSHA safety requirements, practices, and procedures.
- Good working knowledge of facilities and industrial equipment and O&M requirements.
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance and reliability improvement programs.
