Job Overview :
A Miami-based healthcare technology company is seeking a Temporary Corporate Counsel / RFP Coordinator to join its small but growing legal department for a 3-6 month assignment, filling in for an employee on maternity leave.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the legal, compliance, and proposal teams during this period, contributing to the business’s continued growth.
This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of legal areas, including commercial and corporate transactions, digital health, regulatory compliance, licensing, corporate governance, and more.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist company’s General Counsel with all legal matters including commercial transactions, corporate governance, regulatory, compliance, privacy, intellectual property, M&A, and litigation.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including distribution agreements and licensing deals.
- Coordinate with functional departments to prepare and review RFP (Request for Proposal) and RFI (Request for Information) responses.
Qualifications :
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- 0-3 years of legal experience, with a strong background / interest in healthcare law, telemedicine, and / or digital health.
- Licensed and admitted to practice law in good standing in at least one U.S. state (or scheduled to take a bar exam within the next 3 months).
- Experience reviewing and drafting RFPs and RFIs is a plus.
- Solution-oriented and adaptable to working on a range of dynamic issues in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
